Lwowska organizacja pozarządowa Muzeum Idei (Lwów) ogłasza konkurs dla studentów ostatnich lat studiów magisterskich i absolwentów polskich uczelni wyższych wydziałów ekologii, socjologii, architektury oraz uczelni artystycznych na udział w projekcie 'People River City. Lvivans Poltva - Lviv'.
Initiator: Lviv public organization “Museum of Ideas”, in the frame of project “BernardenGarden – area of free plastic ideas”

Aim: the search of creative architectural ideas and design solutions for revitalization of Poltva River in Lviv; research of ecological condition of river and public opinion on the importance of cleaning the river, its potential as a cultural community center.
Date: 19-28 September 2011
Invited to participate:
- masters of Sociology or 4-5th year students
- masters or students of architecture and landscape design (4-5th year)
- masters or students-environmentalists (4-5th year)
- graduates and students of art schools
Objectives for participants:
Social scientists (working in a team of sociologists from Ivan Franko National University of Lviv)
- Justification of social importance of Poltva River as an active public space for the residents of the city (up to 3 pages, 12 pt.)
- Questionnaire and poll of Lviv residents on their attitude to the river, its importance and its future
Architects // designers:
- Draft-vision of active public space around rivers, springs, streams (project form: electronic presentation, drawing, landscape design, or any other creative form)
Artists:
- Creating art works in the space of the city on “Poltva – an underground river of Lviv”
Environmentalists (team work with LNU sociologists):
- Environmental aspects of river Poltva and the environment
Organizers of the project ensure:
1. Travel costs to the city and from the city (except flight)
2. Accommodation from 19 September to 28 September 2011 (2 person in room)
3. Three meals a day (September19-28)
4. Mentor for each group of participants (sociologists, architects, artists, ecologists)
5. Workplace (desirable own laptop)
6. Internet access, printers, scanners, faxes.
7. Minimum of office supplies and necessary materials.

- Participants arrival – 19.09.2011
- Open public discussion of Lviv residents – 20.09.2011
- Work on projects – 21.09 – 26.09.2011
- Projects presentation – 27.09.2011
- Departure – 28.09.2011
- Publication of the booklet on the projects of participants - to 01.11.2011
- Distribution of booklets to participants of the project – 01.12.2011
Accompanying measures during the project implementation:
- Tour of Lviv
- A visit to an underground channel and leaks of Poltva River
- Acquaintance with the results of the preceding project BernardenGarden 2010
